For Alicia’s debut book, I found this book such a good read, it was a pleasure reading about Liv and Logan and all the other characters, in parts I could not keep the smile from my face remember high school myself and things that I used to get up to, none of which were on the same level as Liv but I could picture the events.
Liv’s difficulty in getting too attached to people was very heart breaking at times and you could sympathise as to why she was pushing people away, she has had such a lot to deal with growing up with her family and has been hurt on numerous occasions so you can see why she has put barriers up and in this book I felt Alicia did such a good job portraying that.
I couldn’t stop thinking about it. My fingers moved to my lips from the residual tingling that still lingered on them. He did things to me that I had never felt before. He made me feel alive, even though I had been trying hard to stay neutral… to everything.
Along came Logan, Logan is such a loveable character and is good for Liv even if she does not know it, they make a great couple together, they fit. Logan brings out a different side of Liv but Liv is still at war with herself and of her past.
Shit.. I tried to snap myself out of it, but I still couldn’t look away. I was being unfair to him. He deserved to much better than me, so much more. He deserved the World. He deserved something I couldn’t give him.
Will they ever get together? You'll never know until you read the book, can they put all their hardship behind them and move forward again you are kept wondering in this book and personally I found that to be refreshing.
“I’m sorry,” I rasped between kisses. “Please don’t be mad at me. I don’t want to hurt you. You mean so much to me”
This is a YA book and so easy to fall into reading, you find yourself wanting to know what will happen next and where the characters will all go. There is drama in this book, yes it is not all roses and chocolates it does have issues to deal with but the background of these characters and the issues they deal with are so well written in this book that you do not get side tracked when reading, it helps you understand what they have gone through and in some ways could relate to all ages that read this book.
Very well done for Alicia’s Debut book, I loved it. I would recommend this book.
