“Men shouldn’t know how to decorate anyway, using words like gaudy.” I let one brow raise and give him a suspicious smirk. “Do I need to learn how to fix the cars then? What if I get a flat?” “Oh baby,” he growls, his feet pounding the floor as he stalks toward me, “you questioning my manliness?” “Maybe,” I tease, slowing backing up. “Nancy.” My eyes dart anxiously around the room, mentally planning my escape route in this new territory. He laughs deeply, not a ‘ha ha that’s funny’ laugh, but more an ‘uh huh I’m coming to get ya’ sexy laugh. “Got it planned yet?” He grins knowingly, one eyebrow cocked. “Better run to wherever looks the most comfortable.” There’s no furniture yet, what is he talking about comfortable? Seeing the confusion on my face, he answers unasked. “Showing you how much of a man I am when I catch ya,” he creeps closer, “so I’d stay away from the tile, might hurt your back,” the mischief in his eyes ignites as he continues moving slowly closer, “or your knees.” Do I still have to pretend I don’t want to be caught? I love this side of Dane; the dominant, controlling, hunter than comes out more and more every day. The game’s precept itself is laughable; no one could question Dane’s virility. It seeps from his pores, an aura around him taking up all the air in a room. And he’s all mine. From his forever jostled brown locks and matching warm eyes, cocky lopsided grin and sculpted chest all the way to his eight back, that irresistible v and toned, tight ass- he is mine. “You wouldn’t!” I challenge, knowingly delightfully well that he would. “Oh baby, you know I can and will.” He flips open the button on his pants, that cocky grin suffocating me from where he stands, “I think you want me to.”

When I took a job as a bartender at Hanson’s to help pay for my classes, the last thing I expected to find was Kale Wilder. He’s sexy, smart, and he makes me smile and laugh faster than anyone ever has. More importantly, he makes me believe in Mr. Right.
But Kale came to the wrong place at the wrong time, because someone else has his eyes on me. Someone who watches my every move.
Kale’s the only one I want, but the more I feel for him, the more I fear for my safety. Because the other guy is getting closer and doesn't want to share. He’s made it clear if he can’t have me, no one can.

“You brought me a date?”
“I did,” he said, rocking back on his heels.
I eyed him, then made a show of looking around. “Is he cute?”
The sputtering fish look that crossed his face made me feel better than it should have. He recovered quickly and nodded. “I think he’s rather handsome. Kind of rugged. Blue eyes, dark hair.”

Tabby's Review:
I have read every book that L.P  Dover has written to date, and this book is in my opinion her best.  The story pulled me in from the first page and literally had me white-knuckled during certain scenes. Trusting You had me going through a variety of emotions. I laughed, I teared up, I gasped out of pure shock, screamed in terror and swooned all throughout this book. I did not know what was going to happen next. I would recommend this book to anyone!

Melissa Ashford went through hell with her ex-husband who cheated on her with a neighbor, and instead of letting that bring her down, she picked herself right back up again. Going out and having no strings attached, one night stands, her life goes how she wants it, no one but her dictates what she does. One night she decides its time for another date and that is when she meets Brett Walker.

Usually she walks away from these one night stands without thinking twice, but there was something different about Brett. Not only was he attractive (complete understatement) but he did thing to her and made her feel things that she didn't think she could.

Fast forward 3 months and Melissa is invited to by her best friend to her husband's company party to "meet someone". As fate would have it that someone turned out to be none other than Brett Walker. This time  they decide take things slow and see where their relationship goes.

As time passes by their feelings start to grow, and they start to fall in love, everything seems to be going great, until...Brett gets a new client, who turns out to be none other than Melissa's ex-husband Daniel. He comes back determined to get her back or ruin her life.

What will Daniel do to get what he wants? How far will he go to get what he wants? Can Brett and Melissa's relationship survive the lies and the secrets? Please read this book to find out!

Excerpt
I nod, and she makes her way down the hall that I now see is lined with photographs. My stomach tightens, but I figure that I need to get this over with if I’m going to be staying here. I walk towards them, stopping at the first picture. I’m guessing it’s from the day they first met, the time she told me about, because she’s giving him a playful frown while he’s grinning at her like he’s already half in love with her, which, to be honest, he probably was. I feel a slight twinge as I take in the picture, knowing that at that moment he had no idea how short of a life he was going to have with her. Hell, he probably wouldn’t have even cared, as long as he had her while he could. Shaking the thought out of my head, I browse each one. There are candid shots of them mixed throughout professional ones from events such as her graduation, Sierra and Jeremy’s wedding, and what looks like an engagement party. As I pass each picture, it’s becoming more real to me that she had a whole separate life before we reconnected. Strangely, I’m not bothered by it, seeing how happy she looks in these pictures, even though it was with another man and not me. I’ll admit that I was a little worried when she told me about their fighting, but looking at these pictures? I know Ty made her a happy woman, and I’m grateful that she had that while she could. Do I wish it had been me? Fuck yes, but what can you do? Coming to the last picture, I’m breathless as the image of Alexa in a wedding dress enters my vision. I’m moving in for closer inspection when she comes out of her room, stopping when she catches me. Her hand covers her mouth as she closes her eyes for a split second. She swallows hard before walking towards me. She reaches out her hand as if to touch my arm before pulling it back, obviously thinking better of it. “Jace, I… This is probably awkward, I’m sorry. I just… I wasn’t expecting you, and I don’t…” She trails off as she stares at the wall, glancing at the picture before turning her eyes towards the floor.

About the Author
I'm a twenty six year old book junkie who is also obsessed with sports. Bengals, Buckeyes, Reds are my teams! I work for the government during the day, hang out with Air National Guard on the weekends, and am married to a guy 15 inches taller than me. We're quite the pair! We currently live right outside of Dayton, OH with our two cats. I've been reading since I was a kid. My mom was a librarian, so it was a given. Heck, she even made sure we watched Wishbone instead of the Smurfs. In 2011 when I graduated from college, my mom bought me a Nook, and then in the summer of 2012 I found this amazing site called Goodreads. I was introduced to so many amazing indie/self-published authors. After reading almost 400 books that year, my husband gave me the push to finally sit down and write my own. It was a rocky start, but over time the words started flowing and I couldn't get Jace and Lexi out of my head. If I’m not writing or looking through tons of photos of hot men, all in the name of research, then you can probably find me curled up with my Kindle, ignoring the rest of the world. I love my sports almost as much as I love my books. My other obsessions include red wine, hot men, country music, and all things Grace Potter. I LOVE to hear from readers, so please feel free to contact via any social media site listed below.

Synopsis:
From the New York Times & USA Today bestselling author who brought you the Nice Girl to Love trilogy, comes A Nice GUY to Love spin-off...

Brian Sullivan has been in love twice in his lifetime. He lost his first love to early-onset Huntington’s, and he lost the other more recently…to his brother. And somehow, his heart has managed to heal itself after both. Amazingly, without therapy. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t gotten a bit more cautious, however. Lately, Brian’s been thinking that maybe his brother’s now retired nothing-but-flings rule isn’t such a bad idea after all. Unfortunately, as the unofficial nice guy poster boy, Brian isn’t exactly versed in the fine art of flings. So he looks to the outrageously ‘unique,’ inexplicably enigmatic, provokingly button-pushing Tessa Daniels for a crash course.

There’s absolutely no way he’s falling in love with this one...right?

Tessa has no idea what she was thinking telling Brian that she was some sort of fling expert. She’s never been flung before and she sure as heck doesn’t know where or how to begin flinging a guy like Brian. It was a temporary lapse in sanity—no doubt because of the can’t-help-but-fall-for-him brain fuzz that hits her whenever he’s around. Not only does the man have her being more herself than she’s ever been in her life, but he’s the only person she knows who seems to have as many demons and skeletons in the closet as she does. What’s more, he’s got her thinking of the one thing she stopped letting herself even hope for years ago.

A happily ever after.

 Excerpt:
"Babe, we have to stop.  You're hurting and your emotions have gone through the wringer tonight.  I can't take advantage of you like that."
"Then don't,” she replied simply, wrapping her arms around his neck.  “Let me take advantage of you.”
Jerking back to put some head-clearing distance between them was about as painful as ripping off his own skin.  “Why don’t we just hang out tonight?  We can sit and talk more about those dickheads we ran into tonight if it’ll help, or we could just watch a movie…anything you want to do."
He quickly snatched her wandering hands as they traveled down his lats and started tugging at the hem of his t-shirt.  "Anything except that," he groaned.  "Work with me here, woman."  Raggedly, he put his forehead against hers and counted to ten to try and find the tattered remains of his restraint.
The thought almost made him laugh.  Who was he kidding?  He had no restraint when it came to Tessa.  By the fifth second, his lips had already found their way back to hers.
And goddammit if her whole body didn’t just tremble right there in his arms.
She was just so mind-wreckingly responsive.  As usual, without even trying, she was driving him batshit crazy.
Tapping into a reserve even he didn’t know he had, he broke off the kiss and took another step away from her.  Then he watched in sad disbelief as her expression became completely shuttered a half an instant later—closing him out behind the walls of a now ten-story castle and a moat filled with fire-breathing piranhas.
The lightning quick response time of her defenses was a punch to his gut.  What the hell happened in her past?
"Look Brian, if you don't want to, you can just tell me you know.  I’m a big girl; you don't have to make excuses to let me down easy—"
He gave her a look that said he wondered about her IQ before grabbing her hand and dragging it over the zipper of his jeans.  "Does that feel like I don't want to?"
Her eyes widened, and her grip closed tight around him.
Bourbon soaked shards of glass went hissing down his throat.  "For chrissakes, stop."  The blood supply in his brain was dipping down to a dangerous low.
And the damn temptress was clearly all torn up about it.  He glared at the smile she was biting back.  “I’m glad you find this so amusing.”
“It’s not amusement, it’s relief.  Here I was thinking it was just me getting affected with my perpetually wet panties around you and all."
A seriously pained groan escaped him then.  "To preserve my sanity—and your panties—don’t use the word wet in any more sentences tonight."
She sighed.  "I don't know why you're making such a big deal out of this.  You heard Troy earlier this evening.  Being the ‘good girl’ was never my thing."  She brushed up against the hardening ridge tenting his jeans to drive home her point.
With a muttered curse, he clamped one arm around her waist and tangled his free hand in her hair.  "Sweetheart, this thing between us is a big deal," he said roughly, tugging gently on her hair and nearly losing it when she arched her back in response.  Her fitted tee was so paper-frickin’-thin.  One sharp yank was all it’d take to rip it right down the middle.
Jesus Christ, he needed to find some control.
"Tessa, when, and yes I said when we have sex, I’ll make damn sure that every single second of it seeps into your bones, burns into your memory, and turns into a relentless craving that makes you forget all the assholes from your past,” he ran his lips along the thrumming pulse at her throat, “and if I’m really lucky, it’ll also help ruin you for all other men completely."

I sat at my desk, waiting for my students to pile in. Monday morning at 8:58 am had to be the most dreaded time of the week for any teacher. I got up to greet the children as they started to arrive with the walkers/car riders first, then each individual busload. The silence that filled the air just a few short moments ago was now filled with laughter, gasps, singing, and every other sound in between.
I paid particular attention to Ryan, who came walking in with Kyle, another little boy in my class with whom Ryan was becoming close friends. It made me happy to see Ryan starting to form relationships with his classmates. He was looking absolutely adorable wearing a black ski jacket and a black winter hat. He was bogged down by his backpack and another bag that he was holding in his hand. He walked over to my desk, quickly taking the backpack off his back. I grabbed the other bag that he was holding to help him out.
“These are for you,” he said, pointing to the bag.
I looked at him, puzzled, as I opened the bag to find two cookie tins. I slowly removed the lid from one of the tins to find layers of perfectly formed gingerbread men, with all their body parts intact.
“Did you make these, Ryan?” I asked with a smile.
He nodded, looking very proud of himself. “Well, me and my uncle did.” He sighed as if he was displeased with something.
“What’s wrong, Ryan?”
“Miss Morgan, my uncle said a lot of words on the inappropriate list yesterday when he was making those. I tried to remind him every time, but then he burnt his hand when he took them out of the oven and he started saying words that I never even heard before,  but I think they were inappropriate. I told him to use the potholder, but he doesn’t listen.”
I smiled and shook my head just imagining the words that were spewing from his mouth.
“Miss Morgan, is that f-word still inappropriate when you say Mother before it?”
I looked at Ryan and nodded.
“Oh, then he really did say a lot of inappropriate things,” Ryan said with disappointment.

Tabby's Review:
An Unplanned Lesson was not what I expected, and I mean that in a good way. This wonderfully written book by Beth Rinyu had me mesmerized from the start. Nicole has been carrying around a secret that has ruined her relationship with her parents, and her sister just doesn't care about her. She is basically alone when it comes to her family with the exception of her brother Justin, a Marine, who is stationed thousands of miles away. Nicole stays in contact with Justin through email and sporadic phone calls.
Nicole gets a new job as a 2nd grade teacher where she meets a troubled young boy named Ryan O'Maley who lost his parents several months prior in an accident, who is now living with his uncle Dailan O'Maley. Nicole knows that Ryan needs help and guidance understandably so, so she reaches out to his uncle via email to set up an appointment to discuss Ryan. Only she was not expecting the arrogant, rude response she gets from Mr. O'Maley.
Nicole and Dailan end up meeting while Nicole is out with friends and they have this undeniable attraction, but neither of them want anything serious. Beth Rinyu did a great job of writing and developing this "non" relationship but stricktly friends with the possibility of benefits. However, the two find themselves spending time together with little Ryan and start to become a little family, even though the two would refuse to call it that. The text messages and emails between Nicole and Dailan will have you smiling and laughing, and when they are together the passion is like a stick of dynamite going off in your pants.
All in all, this book had a wonderful storyline, a realistic storyline and Oh My! What an ending! Interested yet? Trust me this is one book you will want to read and reread for that matter. The pure, raw emotion jumps off the page, making you feel what the characters feel. Thank you Beth for giving me this book to review, I am amazed by your talent and cannot wait to read more from you!

Ever since I can remember, I have always enjoyed Creative Writing. There was always something about being able to travel to a different place or become a different person with just the stroke of a pen - or in today's world a touch of the keyboard.
My life is not as interesting as my books or the characters in them, but then again whose life is? I was born and have lived in New Jersey my whole life. I'm a mom of twin teenage boys, a teenage stepson, a crazy Border Collie and a cat with an identity crisis! I guess you can say writing is my form of Calgon! I am married to a wonderful guy - but we'll keep that between us, I don't want him getting a big head!

"An Unplanned Life" the sequel/prequel to "An Unplanned Lesson" will be releasing on 11/7/13 and I already have a vested interest in the characters of my next novel  "A Cry For Hope" releasing some time in 2014.....stay tuned for details!
