Metamorphosis by Erin Noelle

Scarlett MacGregor has lived a very sheltered life; relying on her books, music, and her best friend Evie for fun. During their first semester away at college, Scarlett and Evie concoct a contest to find their real-life book boyfriends. Scarlett quickly meets Ashton, Dylan, and later, Mason, and must figure out which one she wants before she ends up without any of them.
Metamorphosis is the story of Scarlett's transformation from a young, naive girl to a strong, mature young woman and her search for self-discovery and true love.

I checked out the synopsis of ‘Metamorphosis’ on Amazon and I thought this series of books sound like the type of story I could get into, well I was mesmerized with this book.

This story is not only sweet but incredibly HOT, sexy and funny, there was also a very clear storyline which is so heartfelt it broke my heart at times and made me ugly cry.

Scarlet is a beautiful 18 year old virgin although she does not feel she is beautiful, (years of being told you are not that special makes you feel that way), but not only was she beautiful on the outside but also on the inside.  I instantly loved her, although there were times I just wanted her to stop thinking all the time about things and to just live.  Scarlet is like everyone she makes mistakes but it is how she learns from them that keeps me excited to continue reading.

Scarlet in her new found freedom finds she is attracted to 3 guys, but wow the way the author portrays them who could blame Scarlet for liking them all, I mean HOT AS HELL is the only way I can describe them, Ash, Dylan and Mason.

In this story Erin mentions other books and characters and the fact that Scarlet and her friend Evie seriously discuss Book Boyfriends and what type of guy do they both like, it was funny in a way as it reminded me of my friends and I discussing the books we read and Book Boyfriends in our groups on Facebook. I felt it was a lovely touch in the book, and it was something that everyone could relate to.  Erin mentioned one of my all time favourite books, Ruining Me by Nicole Reed, to me that was lovely and special that Erin would mention another author and book in her story, it showed me that Erin not only loved Ruining Me but she felt the significance of it in putting it in her book

The flow to the writing is brilliant and I found myself just constantly reading, I did not want to close my kindle to stop.  I never once became confused about where the book was going or what had happened it was all there easy to read and understand and I LOVED IT.

Ash OMG what can I say, he is just dreamy to me, I fell in love with him from the first few chapters, to me he is HOT, but kind, thoughtful, charismatic but loyal and friendly.  Yes he is a bit of a man whore but most colleague guys are.  I loved the instant attraction that Scarlet has with Ash when she first meets him and Ash feels the same but can they get it together to see if they have a future?..

Dylan, there was something about Dylan that rubbed me up the wrong way, to me he was too squeaky clean, maybe that is just me but something about him, didn’t ring true with me and I couldn’t like him as much as I wanted to.

Then there is Bad Boy, Rocker, Biker Mason, OMG HOT as well, the fact that he sings in a band, drives a Harley well that say’s it all really doesn’t it.  However, aside from his bad boy image Mason has a good quality, a loyalty and I feel he truly does care for Scarlet but I don’t know if he would be the right person for Scarlet

Scarlet has to deal with a devastating tragedy later on in the book and this shatters her confidence, she needs to find out where she fits into life again, who should she be with, all the decisions of her life to come needs to be dealt with and Scarlet needs to do some soul searching.

What I am anxious to see now is what happens next for Scarlet in book 2 but what I will say about Book  is this is a book you will WANT to read, yes it is a series but an amazing one at that and I can’t recommend this book highly enough.
