WHISKEY KISSES by Addison Moore
May 2014
3:AM Kisses, #4

Izzy Sawyer has always been the it girl. She believes she’s the last person on earth who deserves a happily ever after. Holt Edwards has always been the player that women voluntarily fall to their knees for. When it comes to love, Holt doesn’t believe in fairytale endings.

When Izzy dives back into the dating pool, Holt is right there, ready and willing, to offer tips and tricks to get her through an entire army of blind dates—starting with a bone melting demonstration on how to deliver mouthwatering kisses.

One thing leads to whiskey and Izzy is starting to think happily ever after doesn’t seem like such a bad idea. Holt is starting to rethink his stance on fairytale endings.

But Izzy has a secret that has turned her world upside down. Holt has a secret of his own that cost him far more than he ever bargained for.

Sometimes life doesn’t give you the happily ever after. Sometimes it’s best to leave fairytale endings on the bookshelf where they belong.

Izzy can’t stop thinking about Holt.
Holt can’t seem to quit his favorite new addiction—Izzy.

The mercury is rising—secrets are percolating—and their lust for one another is just about to detonate.

Izzy needs just one more hit of Holt and his late night Whiskey kisses, but deep down she knows that will never be enough. She wants all of him—every bone melting kiss he ever has to offer.

Izzy wants Holt
Holt worships Izzy.

Summer in Hollow Brook just heated up.
Sparks are flying.
Together Izzy and Holt are unstoppably electric.

Whiskey Kisses (3:AM Kisses # 4) Holt and Izzy’s story
(Izzy and Holt at the bar)

“I’m the last person you should be wasting your time with.” I swallow hard. “You sure you don’t have better things to do?” Already three different girls have walked by outright gawking at him. “Honestly, you don’t have to baby sit me tonight.”
“Baby sit?” Holt steps in close, his eyes sear over mine, and, for the first time, in a long while I can feel the heat spreading through my body like a molten tidal wave, slow and determined to hit all the right spots. His sweet cologne infiltrates my senses—sandalwood and cinnamon. He takes in a breath, and his chest stops just shy of touching mine. Holt Edwards is all man. Forget those preconceived notions I’ve had about him over the years. He’s grown into his own, and, God help me, because I very much approve. He leans in further, and, for a fleeting moment, I think he’s going to kiss me. “I promise you, Iz”—he whispers right over my lips, and I’m tempted to steal it from him anyway—“there’s not a single place I’d rather be.”

Words cannot describe how much I love the 3: AM Kisses Series. Before you turn and run though the door screaming each novel in this series can be read as a standalone. Whiskey Kisses is book 4 in the series, and one of my favorites.

Throughout the other books in the series we get to see Holt Edwards, the sexy twin brother of Bryson, but we never get to know him. He is known as a player, a bad boy, a man who could have his pick of any co-ed at Whitney Briggs University, but since he was 13 his heart belonged to the 5 year older Izzy Sawyer. Holt has secrets that hold him back.

Izzy Sawyer is the older sister of Laney and the daughter of a mother who has a revolving door of suitors. Izzy's father up and vanished, leaving Izzy to protect her sister and stay with her mother. When Izzy was younger something happened to her, something that made her push the thoughts of men or relationships aside.

Weddings and engagements are all around. With the upcoming nuptials of Laney and  Ryder and Baya and Bryson, Laney, Izzy's younger sister decided to set Izzy up on a series of blind dates. Izzy and Holt reconnect at the bar and he offers her "Dating Tips", but soon those turn into a full fledge romantic relationship.

Can these two open up and let each other in? Or will there secrets bring their blossoming relationship to a screeching halt?

Whiskey Kisses had me laughing out loud so many times. The playful banter between Izzy and Holt was sweet, swoon worthy and panty melting. I honestly believed Bryson was the hotter brother, oh how I was wrong. Holt is a mixture of sweet, sexy, loving, caring, funny and protective, not to mention HOT!! He was patient with Izzy when she pushes him away.

Izzy's mom made me angry throughout most of the book but near the end I warmed up to her. One of her lines made me laugh so hard, that I woke up my fiancé. It was a OMG, I hope I never hear my mom say anything like this!
"If you kids don't mind, I've got a date with a hunk of steel named Magnum. He's locked, loaded, and ready to go. I've got a thirty-day warranty and brand new D batteries. I'm going to make the best of it." She glances back at Holt. "It's time to say hello to my little friend."

Whiskey Kisses is an emotional journey of two people, searching for a way to move forward in this world and find their forever.

As always Addison Moore delivers an amazing book, that will have you wrapped up in the story until the very end. I cannot wait for Annie's story, Rock Candy Kisses.
