“No one escapes,” the woman whispers as she stabs her fingernails into my hands. “We’ll come back for you.” Her face… blurred… but the pain… is excruciating.
My eyelids spring open to the patch on the ceiling. The room is quiet, but my heart thunders like a storm inside my chest.
This story grabbed a hold of me from the first page and by the last I was begging for answers and for more of these characters.
Ayden has a dark past, years of abuse and painful experiences. Now his life is changing he is beginning to let go of the pain but no matter what he does the past always seems to find a way back in.
Lyric entered his life and brought in this light that is coaxing him out of the darkness. She is there for him unlike anyone else ever has been. She is touching parts of him he never imagined.
This story is full of twists and turns that will leave you gasping. I cannot wait to see where these characters go!
