Covered in Coal rendered me completely speechless. Silla Webb's debut novel is a scorching hot and suspenseful romance. Her words leap off the page and dive straight into your hearts, making the characters saddness, anger and happiness yours as well. You feel every emotion.
The characters are so well developed, that they start to feel like your best friend or the man you are interested in. Not to mention Heidi Jo has to be the most adorable child character that I have read in a while.
Carly Jo's heart gets shattered when her boyfriend Colton ends their three year relationship with absolutely no explanation. The next day she learns that she is also pregnant. So turning to the only man who has never let her down she goes to her father, but he turns cold and refuses to support her in any way. Carly feels alone, so she runs away from home in search of a fresh start.
Over the years Carly suffers more pain but came out stronger and independent as ever. Seven years later Carly has to return home to say goodbye to her father who is dying, with all plans to return to the home she has made. Only things do not go as planned. Carly is named CEO of the coal mining company that her father owned. Not only is she thrown into the life of a CEO, but now she is forced to work along side Colton, the very man that broke her heart.
Finding their way back to each other will be no easy task. The closer they get the more secrets start to emerge, and not only their secrets. It turns out that Carly's dad had secrets too. Secrets that are now coming to the surface, and threaten to ruin things for both Carly and Colton's father's trucking company.

The ending will have you shouting out in anticipation to what is in the future...well it made me shout. I highly recommend this book. It has twists and turns, drama, suspense and not one but two extremely hot men!
