Who will she be with, and who will she tell to “Watch Me Walk Away?”

Review:

This has to be one of the best debut novels that I have ever read. The story had its ups, downs, twist and turns that made me wonder what would happen next. Who would Lisa choose? Bobby the love of her life who left without a word or Brad her childhood best friend who has been through everything with Lisa, including losing their virginities together or even Stuart the man she is currently with who is stable and never did her wrong? I was completely strapped in for the roller coaster ride of emotions in this novel.

“To say I’ll miss you seems redundant. I’ve been missing you for years. People have called me heartless and they’re right. My heart resides with you and the only time I feel anything is when I’m in your presence. My greatest hope is that someday you will give me your heart again so I can finally feel complete.”

― Jill Prand, Watch Me Walk Away

Lisa is a very strong woman who decided after Bobby hurt her that she wouldn’t wallow in self-pity, she decided to move on and away from her life for a fresh start, leaving her childhood best friend Brad behind. I respect Lisa for making that decision. Moving on is much better than reading about a character who is not strong, who does nothing but cry. Lisa “womaned” up and put on her big girl panties and attempted to move on. Now her past has come back full force and now three men’s hearts are in her hands… which will she choose? You will have to read it to find out J
